PREPARATION

Buying a house is often a long-term investment. You have many things to consider in regards to the location. Is the property in a desirable school district, close to work, close to shopping, close to parks, public transit? Whatever is important to you should stay top of your mind. In fact, it is good to make a list at this point so that your own wishes are not forgotten. Research all the neighbourhoods that you are interested in and consider your needs for the future. A good agent will show you around and be realistic if you are looking in an area you cannot afford. Do share your list of wants and needs with your agent, this will help narrow down the search and hopefully get you in your new home faster.
